Particular attention was dedicated to sound emissions produced during the regasification activity on board the plant.

It was verified that the noise produced by the various equipment on board the Terminal is lower than the one produced by similar ships  usually sailing in the area. This is because “FSRU Toscana” has no engine anymore, then there is no propulsion noise released into the water.

During the authorization procedures it was clarified that due to the Terminal location, there will be no impact on the population or on sensitive targets located near the plant. Anyway, OLT will carry out a specific monitoring of undersea noise during the whole life of the Terminal, as agreed with competent Authorities.
